BMW, the guys that know technology but somehow don’t really know how to make it simple to use have the iDrive control system which is again highly complex to use. The user has control over a series of turns and twists yet the systems complexity has drawn every automotive reviewer in the world.
The latest of the rumour is BMW dropping iDrive in favour of an Apple designed control interface which makes some sense as Apple is well known for designing intuitive interfaces which can be controlled with easy basic actions, which is exactly what BMW’s iDrive needs. Just imagine being able to control your BMW’s systems all from your iPhone or iPod!

AutoSpies internal sources indicate that BMW may just implement an Apple type control system quite soon, maybe even with the next generation 7 series. So we’ll be keeping our eye on this one and update you when we find out more.

A little housekeeping to set the scene: the F700V is a tri-band GSM handset (900, 1800, 1900) with EDGE and HSDPA, capable of mobile broadband speeds of up to 7.2Mbps. Measuring 4.1 x 2 x 0.6 inches and weighing 3.2oz, it’s a little smaller in all but thickness than the iPhone though its 2.78-inch, 240 x 440 touchscreen is considerably smaller than the Apple’s 3.5-inch display.

According to O2’s top guy the iPhone is the fastest selling mobile device in the carrier’s history. O2’s CEO recently paid a visit to Cupertino California to give them all a “well done pat on the back” over how well iPhone is doing in Britain.
O2’s Matthew Key spoke to Steve Jobs saying that O2 should move around 2000 iPhones by January’s end. Key told Jobs, iphone spurred high data usage rates on the UK network with iPhone users using in excess of 25MB per month, which means O2’s data revenue, has grown immensely. This means that it is becoming fairly obvious that O2 will pick up the 3G iPhone on its release next year.

There are loads of Bluetooth headsets out there that say they are the smallest available, and we’re not that sure whether to believe Add Tech’s claims that the AD-HSM10 is so diminutive even though the firm promises it.However the AD-HSM10 is quite tiny and only weighs 5 grams, and as such you may just forget you are wearing it.
Reports say this tiny gadget can last up to 3 hours, and has a 100 hour standby, and comes in silver or titanium colour. So anyone who may want one of these tiny earpieces you should be able to get hold of one from January for somewhere in the region of $78.
