While there isn’t any confirmed detail schedule for the next Windows Mobile OS, a great find from istartedsomething is revealing a mystery “Phone” device. Strings of “%Phone.DeviceDesc% = ZuneMTPZUSB, USB\VID_045E&PID_0640″ has been found inside the Zune software driver’s inf file. So what’s up with Microsoft with the 3 lines of “Zune Phone” string in 3 different product ID? We can expect to see an official showcase in the coming Mobile World Congress next month.

Okay, anyone with an ounce of brain matter knows that if you make a call from your mobile phone when driving the chances of crashing increase, stands to reason, if you’re concentrating on your call you’re not concentrating fully on your driving, thus the risk of smacking your vehicle into an oncoming vehicle, tree or lamppost increases right?
Well apparently not, according to a study by the Highway Loss Data Institute, which found that comparing the numbers before a ban on mobile phone use when driving to the numbers after the ban, there was virtually no difference, reports an article over on the NYTimes.
The study was the first look as the results of the mobile phone ban while driving in California, Connecticut, Washington and New York, and the researchers are quite surprised at the results.
What is it with figures and the States? No one needs figures to know that using a mobile phone when driving increases the risk of having a crash, its simple common sense. Obviously people are ignoring the ban, which is probably due to the penalties not being severe enough.
No matter what any figures say, when you use your mobile handset while driving you risk your life and the lives of anyone else in your vehicle and the lives of other road users, I don’t need any figures to tell me that, just an tad of grey matter.

India gained the iPhone 3G way back in 2008 shortly after its US launch and was supplied via Vodafone and Airtel in 8GB and 16GB models; since then India has been patiently awaiting the iPhone 3GS to hit their shores.
However, it now appears that India will not be gaining the iPhone 3GS as according to an article over on expressbuzz they have been told by a company official that there are no plans to deliver the iPhone 3GS to the country.
Apparently the reasons for this are the response from the Indian market, which for the iPhone 3G fell below expectations, consumer spending fell due to the economic climate, and the delay in India’s auction of 3G spectrum.
So there you have it, it looks as if either India has a very long wait for the iPhone 3GS to appear or they won’t be gaining it at all.

It looks like Samsung may be turning a bit more serious where the Android platform is concerned; the original Samsung Galaxy was that much of a good looking handset, but it appears Sammy is rectifying that with a Samsung Galaxy 2.
According to an article over on androphones, what we have here is a render of what they believe is the Samsung Galaxy 2, which apparently packs some decent specifications.
Thos specs are rumoured to be a 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen, Android 2.1 operating system, a 5 megapixel camera, GPS, WiFi, 3.5mm jack and a 1GHz Snapdragon processor. Although Sammy make their own system on chips so not sure why they would be sourcing from Qualcomm.
Anyway, the word is we can expect to see the Samsung Galaxy 2 hit release sometime in Q2, and it is expected Samsung will make an official announcement of the Samsung Galaxy 2 at MWC 2010.
